On Thursday night, in the third round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup group stage, the Moroccan national team trounced its Canadian opponent, two goals to one, in a match on the grounds of Al-Thumama Stadium.
Hakim Ziyech and Youssef Al-Nusairi of the "Atlas Lions" team scored goals in the fourth and 23rd minutes of the game, respectfully, while the Canadian team's goal was the result of a defender's mistake by the opponent in the 40th minute.

The Moroccan team had the advantage in the first half and at the beginning of the second half, took possession of the ball, made attacks, and scored twice, while the North American side was able to close the gap.
